Death. It came so quickly, so sudden and accurately. No time for prayers or second thoughts- witty remarks. But she had laid there- so content during those last few seconds on Earth. A foreign and warm entity had enfolded itself around her spirit, despite her withering body, and loss of vital fluids. The pain it was still there- so close, but then the numbness had taken her a hold- and she knew she’d pass through this life like so many others before her. And she relished in it, couldn’t resist what lay ahead because it was everything she had forgotten during her long struggle in life. So many hurts and pains, too many conflicts that grappled inside her mind- They were so fragmented that they themselves had lead her to her own downfall- a befitting downfall for one so mad. So distorted and broken in spirit. The calming sense that collected itself in her chest was none ever felt before. That, or… it had been too long since she had held grasp to anything as uplifting as this.

It was secure, like the warmth a mother might have given to her child in her arms, or the reassurance that led a trail of promised forgiveness from its misty halls. There was something there… so wholesome, so pleasant, that she rejoiced silently in her failing existence in ‘this world’. Almost like reuniting with a long lost friend… but then the feeling was so much more intimate than anything she had ever felt- a love greater than anything on Earth.

As her assassin discarded her for good, she herself ignored her killer and breathed heavily out. There was a promise waiting for her, another beginning- for there would be no end… not here, not now. In a breathtaking and what would have appeared as almost eerie to those who could not simply understand- the world didn’t simply pass or dissipate in the soul that held this character. Before the sky would lead her elsewhere, the world flashed violently and wonderfully through her- attaining the good that was still out there, clinging, hanging and struggling to hold on, despite the corrupted mass that clung itself to the Earth and its beings. She softly smiled bewildered- realizing what could have been a life worth living for, but it had already been too late. The world she knew faded with ease, as did all her worries… and there, a top the clouds and near the moon lay a paradise- a friend in the midst awaited her presence. All of it… everything- had been too short.

As her spirit lifted, all that lay of the vacant body were her opened, dazed eyes. Into which who knew of their amazement, their wonder- for these eyes- opened portals revealed all sorts of things as the spirit lifted- to go wherever it was that followed this death state. Sorrowful peace resided in its appearance, the trail of blood long gone with heat and puddles like sweat honey around the fleshy carcass.

I was thinking of writing up a story or something like that,
and this was a scene I had made up in my head for it. A bit
of a gory perception- but I hope to one day get to it. Tell me what you think?

wow, the picture looks amazing! especially with the lighthouse and stuff put in there too, and the smokey kinda texture :) and the story - i adore it, its really beautiful too :) your very talented indeed ^_^
